How we got here

Kiksasa started in 2023 the way most useful infrastructure does: two founders, Tim Chalk (CTO) and Kelly Flynn (CEO), tired of rebuilding the same directories and lead lists that a hundred other people in the region had already built once. Between them, Kelly and Tim bring over 25 years each of experience leading and creating startups — Kelly on the product development and design side, Tim on the engineering side. Kelly is also a four-time entrepreneur who started her first company at 19; she and Tim also run Seirios Technologies, a startup consulting firm, together. What began as a fix for their own frustration is now the infrastructure a growing list of regions run on.

Today the platform runs as three connected layers — Software (Ecosystem, Hub, Prospector, plus Markets, coming soon), Data (the Kiksasa Data skill for Claude and Gemini), and Founder Central — all built on one shared database, one shared framework and architecture, one hosting environment, and Kiki, Kiksasa's patent-pending AI layer. Together, that shared foundation is what the team calls the Core — not a database with spaghetti code bolted onto it. Kiki gathers, validates, and enriches ecosystem data, powers the analysis behind Prospector and Markets, runs the chat agent inside Hub, and serves your data through the Kiksasa Data skill in Claude or Gemini.

How we build

Core and Hub were the whole platform until less than a year ago. Ecosystem, Data, and Prospector have all shipped since, and Markets is already in internal use ahead of its launch. That's fast enough that people regularly ask how we did it without stretching the team too thin or cutting corners. The honest answer is the Core: because every new product is built on the same shared data, code, and Kiki, expansion doesn't mean starting over each time.

We use both internally developed and external AI tools for prototyping. We don't use no-code or low-code environments at all, and we don't vibe code. Every product is used inside Kiksasa long before we release it. And behind all of it are more than 50 years of experience building software, products, and data systems, applied from the start to stability, reuse, consistency, and cost control.
